Barony Bordermarch is a medieval recreation group located in Beaumont, Texas. We are a branch of the Society for Creative Anachronism (SCA) located in the Kingdom of Ansteorra (Texas and Oklahoma). Our members participate in chivalric (armored) fighting, rapier combat, archery, and equestrian activities.
Our activities also include "Arts and Sciences" ranging from 600 to 1600. This could mean sewing and textile production, blacksmithing or armoring, carpentry, scribal (illumination), dance, music, cooking, brewing, or anything else you can dream up! The SCA covers the whole world also, so if you are fascinated by vikings or samurai (or the Crusades), there is equal opportunity to participate.
Words from our Baroness.
Greetings Bordermarch and all whom have traveled seeking knowledge of the current Middle Ages! I, Baroness Gabrielle and Baron Meurik The Humble have the honor of welcoming you all here to our home and hope that you enjoy exploring and learning about the inter workings of what makes us so unique. We are fortunate in our barony to have many guilds where you are truly hands on in learning about what would happen in a medieval village as well as being around some of the most helpful and friendly people on earth. All questions are welcome and please do not hesitate to ask for help, you will be surprised that the SCA’dians are some of the most gracious of people.
Ever in service,
Gabrielle de Lacy Baroness of Bordermarch
